 This will be a summing up of 2011 all its challenges and clearing and awakening and now in 2012 it is about embracing self, moving forward, with courage and forgiving our past to clear the way for a bright future…come and let me guide you through this experience to help set clear intentions, keep negativity at bay, bring forth positivity and forward movement, creativity, empowered choices, passion, knowing, being…and simply allow and follow my lead… this Tui Treat space has been the place I have been manifesting for a wonderful setting to be able to do my NZ collection in… you will also love it… you will need to see it to believe it, so come to experience it… Be with your true self and open to what is in store for you!

I have enjoyed attending most of the evenings as I am sure you all have too! What an amazing effort has been put into them all and a brilliant time had by all! Art and Fashion land at the Waterfront, September 8, 2011. 

Super human sized Fantail flew into the waterfront today. Arriving in a concrete jungle, the bird flits joyfully around, putting on a fantastic feather fluffing performance. Sipping on a cup of coffee, flitting from swing to climbing frame to spinning wheel in it’s playground of life. Looking for a place to rest, it spots an amazing nature inspired Brierley-Millman Cypress sculpture. There has been only one photo taken that was able to capture the bird – paused - before flying off again, away from the Waterfront before the main business of the day had even started.  Anyone who spotted this rare breed, could they please forward photographs to the wildlife and nature appreciation society as well as myself. • ·        Paulus Romijn Director: Presenting Training for Television, Media and Business by the Presenters’ Platform was established in 2004 by Paulus Romijn and is one of New Zealands best known specialists in training for screen and public speaking.
• ·         It has been a year since the YBe UNLEASH Your Brilliance! Year of the Tiger show!!

That means My birthday and YBe birthday are both soon, yay! Keep an eye out for your Birthday invitation!!! My birthday Oct 6^th and YBe Studio birthday Oct 1^st are fast approaching, yay! Although YBe Design is now 7 years old. Fantastic!!!

·         Jenny Lyn Walker is me, the designer, the focus is on one off garments and unique things made to fit You… mostly for special events, weddings, races one off occasion pieces and sculptural art, designer collection pieces. Have a look at some of the conceptual pieces on the website here.

·         The YBe - Just Be everyday wear range for women and men is being expanded and will have a more online presence, where you can order different sizes of set styles. However at most only 5 or 6 of each will be produced so that they still have an exclusive quality about them and you won’t see everybody wearing them, so you will still be able to be individual with what you wear from YBe. Have a look at the Ready to Wear garments on the website here. Then scroll down and see some happy YBe Customers too.

·         YBe -Your Beat! will encompass garments I make specifically for people according to their measurements for helping them to establish a coherent style throughout their wardrobe. Piece by piece. A mixture of my design aesthetic and Your form of expression will be evident through the clothes to help the garments be individually You! Helping to tell Your story through Your clothes, whilst creating styles that suit You and embrace Your body and Your love of clothes and life. Have a look at some commissioned garments here

Been feeling a little under the weather like me? Stay on top of the weather and keep cosy in boiled wool winter jackets, ponchos, wool wrap tops you name it, I will make it for You! See some examples here

·         Consultations for your wardrobe, style, and to get me to design your new garments can be booked in. Half the consultation fee goes towards your garments if you go ahead and order.

·         Book in for an appointment to get Your garment made to fit You! Layer it up for winter and get me to start You on your new wardrobe. Once I have your first pattern and size sorted and I know what you are wanting, I can then make things suitable for you and match things you have previously ordered to make sure there is cohesion between all your garments which makes them so much more versatile and gives You more chance to mix and match and create many different and new looks combined with your existing wardrobe.

For the moving out of the YBe Gallery space into my YBe Home space. Pics from the party! Yay! Good time had by all and Caitlin Smith (singer songwriter) strutting her stuff in YBe garments which have since been worn by her at her wonderful evenings of song at places such as DeBretts on Sundays and Wellington Beehive!– make sure you go to see her perform and see her in one of her many YBe and JLW garments! Stunning!

10 of my sculptural garments such as Tiki, Fantail, Play Tiger play, Frondz…  were showcased at Peter’s 50^th Party a couple of weeks ago. It was amazing and all the models looked stunning! Well done on the impromptu performance ladies!!! Beautiful! The garments all came to life and were expressed well by you all. Some pics here.
